Holidaymakers from the UK are increasingly keen to try new types of food when travelling abroad, according to one expert, an assertion that could tempt some Brits to head to Vancouver on Air Transat flights this month.
Psychotherapist Christine Webber noted that people are more inclined to sample a variety of different cuisines when overseas than they used to be.
"About a fifth of all people are saying they only eat local foods and a majority of people are sampling it. That's very good," she stated.
Ms Webber was commenting on the results of a recent survey by Kuoni, which also found that three out of ten travellers try to incorporate food tasted when abroad into their diets when they return home.
Jet-setters who enjoy trying interesting beverages when travelling may want to book flights to Vancouver in May this year for the International Wine Festival, which concludes on April 3rd.
