British Airways are reported to be training non-specialist staff to take the place of experienced cabin crew in the event of Strike 2 going ahead.
Whilst BA have said that: "Any temporary crew will be trained to meet all the standards and requirements of British Airways and all regulatory authorities. The safety of our customers and staff is always our over-riding priority and we would never do anything to compromise that." it is still a personal judgement as to whether you choose to fly BA in these circumstances.
Cabin Staff are often and wrongly put down as cabin decoration, when most of their training and experience focuses on the all important passenger safety issues which, in the unlikely event of a problem, must result in an immediate and unthinking response to a foreseen-in-training turn of events.
We can, sort of, see the efficacy of using commercial pressure brought by BA with threats to remove future free flight privileges from striking cabin staff; its probably not "fair" nor realistic to envisage strikers returning without restoration of their flight concessions, but it is commercial. However the use of pilots, ground staff and office workers to keep flights flying is a different matter.
The personal answer to the question in my title: " probably not."
