Blue Islands, the dynamic and expanding regional carrier based in the Channel Islands, has announced the launch of a new service from Manchester to Guernsey and Jersey starting 31st October 2011.
This move is in response to bmi withdrawing their service from the same date.
The new daily service leaves Manchester at 12:15 every day except Sunday when it departs at 13:40. Departure time from Guernsey is 0925 except Sunday when it leaves at 1010.
Blue Islands already operates flights from its base in the channel Islands to Southampton, Zurich, Geneva, Isle of Man, London City, Bristol and Manchester. The route to Manchester will be operated by an ATR-42 aircraft with a flying time of less than 3.5 hours.
Special features of the Blue Islands service are no baggage charges, free ticket changes and no credit or debit card extras, all in sharp contract to low cost airlines currently expanding their route networks from Manchester.
