Varsity Express - launched in style.., paused after 7 days
Last week saw the launch .. this week saw the cessation of flights, for now, as the Management Team of Varsity Express search for a replacement supplier of aircraft and operating licence in order to restart the route. Bounce or splat ?? A lot depends on how quickly the route can be re started and how forgiving are the affected passengers whose travel plans have already been severely disrupted, time for a young management team to dig deep and find a solution. This week saw the launch of a new airline into the skies between Oxford and Edinburgh, Varsity Express uses BAe J31 aircraft ( see photos) and we are hoping that the timing of this brave launch, as Britain comes out of recession, will allow successful growth with more and bigger aircraft plus more routes in the future.
