BA Strike 2 to go ahead
Today's vote by the BA cabin staff has been reported as strongly in favour of a strike and the earliest that the industrial action will start is March 01st.
As an industry insider its hard to see how there can be any way forward which won't result in major disruption for BA passengers and every one of us in the UK travel industry with valued passengers booked on the British flag carrier is waiting to see when it will happen and how long it is likely to last.
Worry-ingly BA seem to be planning for a long period of confrontation well beyond a single first stoppage, however long that may be (the cancelled action st Christmas was planned for 12 consecutive days) and the Union appear to have a very high percentage of support from their members to make their action progressively damaging to BA's reputation.
As more details emerge we'll comment further.
