Its one of my morning rituals to check our site analytics before the phone lines open each morning to see how we are performing in terms of growing our visitor numbers.

This week has been a little hectic with playing host to important visitors from Papua New Guinea and a trade seminar on the current state of the holiday market to Spain (its between 13 and 16% down, so expect some bargains this summer), so I haven;t had the chance to delve too deeply , until this morning. So it was a pleasant surprise to find a new source of visitors to www.alternativeairilnes.com in the shape of "Bing" - the new microsoft engineered search engine launched in the UK on May 31st.

So far the numbers aren’t huge but they are clearly growing and it would appear that the average length of stay on our site for people arriving through Bing is slightly longer than those coming in from our historical search engines (this is good news - longer looking mean more booking)

So good luck to Bing, may more people Bing Alterative Airlines (I understand form my IT centric colleagues that Bing is meant to be a verb) and may more people Bing and Buy...
