Batavia Air has launched a new three times weekly service from Singapore to Pontianak in Kalimantan province of Indonesia from 15 April 2010 on an A320 aircraft on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Direct flights from Singapore to Pontianak will take off at 10.35 am and arrive in Pontianak at 11 am Indonesian time. Batavia Air has also announced that it is considering introducing new flights from Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 to other Indonesian cities and long-haul budget flights from Jakarta to Jeddah via Singapore with its Airbus A330 aircraft.
