

From a launch date of November 16th 2011, Avianca will start operating a new fives times a week service from their home base in the Colombian capital city, Bogota to the Bolivian capital city of La Paz.
Flights are planned to be operated on 120 seater Airbus A319 aircraft, with both Business Class and Economy seating. The schedule from Bogota is a night time departure of 23:00 arriving in La Paz at 03:30 the next morning with the return timings leaving La Paz at 05:00 arriving Bogota at 07:00. Flights from Bogota operate on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Flights from La Paz fly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
La Paz is the important cultural centre of Bolivia and an important tourist destination. It is sited at an elevation of 3,650 m (11,975 ft) above sea level, making it the world's highest capital city. Famous for its colonial period cathedrals, such as the San Francisco Cathedral and the Metropolitan Cathedral and home to many interesting museums, La Paz is a city that should be on every travellers Latin American itinerary.
