

Atlantic Airways of the Faroe Islands has been able to introduce a new Airbus A319 into their fleet following an extension to the runway at the capital Vagar's international Airport.
The larger aircraft will be added in March 2011 to Atlantic's current fleet of three Avro RJs and one BAe 146. Atlantic Airways operates flights to: Denmark (Aalborg Airport, Billund Airport and Copenhagen Airport0, Iceland (Reykjavík Airport), Norway (Bergen Flesland Airport) and the United Kingdom (London Stansted Airport). The Faroe Islands are a group of islands situated approximately halfway between Scotland and Iceland. They are a self-governing territory within the Kingdom of Denmark,as is Greenland and have a population nearly 50,000 inhabitants.
