It has been reported that the Ariana Afghan is requesting permission to be allowed to fly back into Europe.
The airline was banned form European skies over three years following concerns about the levels of security at its home base of Kabul. Earlier this year Ariana took delivery of two Airbus 310-300 aircraft from Turkish Airlines.These complement the Ariana fleet of Antonov aircraft which are used on domestic routes. Ariana currently operates an indirect flight from Kabul to Frankfurt using a stop-over in Istanbul and a plane registered in Turkey.
