The results for April have just come in and despite some one-off hosting problems, where the site was down for a day and the on set of Swine flu avoidance tactics (Mexico is effectively closed ufn) we just about made our target revenue which was set at an amitious percentage increase over a disappointing April 2008.

We are not sure what May will throw at us but we are anticipating a very competitive month and have decided to agressively up our advertising spend.

Later this week I am attending the launch of Air Europa’s new double daily service from Gatwick - it’s a chance to meet some old friends from an airline we have dealt with since its started as well as make some new contacts in the rapidly expanding market to Cuba. Finally we have just been appointed as agent for the new airline, Dokan Air which is operating scheduled services to Iraq (from Germany) unfortunately we cannot currently intergrate their reservation technology into our price and availabilty display, so we are going to revamp part of our site to accommodate telephone and e mail sales on this exciting new service.. (Not our normal online booking service but it is too good an opportunity not to make this airline easily available in the UK).
