

Aires is the scheduled airline from the Colombian capital of Bogota operating flights to 22 internal and 4 international airports.
Aires is a regional airline which was formed in 1981 and is based in Bogota operateing a comprehensive network of mostly domestic and regional services.
The airline also has international flights to Panama City, Aruba, Curacao and Maracaibo all with good connections from many towns and Colombian cities. The main domestic operating centres are at Bogota and Medellin whilst flights to Panama, Aruba, Maracaibo and Curacao all depart from Cartagena and Barranquilla in the north of the country.
Aires can’t be called a big airline but it does have a decent route network. Operating to 22 internal airports and 4 international it makes travelling to all of the main business and tourist destinations a fairly straightforward affair. Their fleet of modern Bombardier vary in size and seating capacity and are therefore ideally suited to the diversity of their network. The Q version that Aires have purchased is designed for added passenger comfort, the Q standing for QUIET and has an Active Noise and Vibration Suppression system designed to reduce cabin noise and vibration levels to less than those of jet airliners.Aires operate a fleet of 16 Canadian manufactured Bombardier Dash 8 Q100, Q200 and 300 series aircraft.
