Air Transat is one of the finalists for the family-friendly airline award, news that might tempt Brits to book flights to Vancouver with the carrier.
Among the offerings of the airline that helped put it in line for the Kids First Fund gong is its Kids Club.
It will face competition from five other companies, including TAM Airlines.
Some of the benefits offered to children through the Kids Club scheme are a special welcome kit, prizes and onboard celebrations for those whose are celebrating a birthday.
The winner of the competition will be decided by travel agents, who cast their votes by ballot.
Eco-conscious jet-setters might be keen to purchase flights to Vancouver with Air Transat in light of the carrier's recent performance on the Atmosfair Airline Index.
In the long-haul category, it was ranked in the number one spot in terms of low CO2 emissions levels, while overall it was placed in third.
