

Air Tahiti Nui, the national carrier for Tahiti & Her Islands has announced that it will consolidate flights to Tahiti via its Paris hub for the peak 2009 Summer season. From June to September 2009, Air Tahiti Nui will operate up to seven flights per week from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Faa’a International Airport in Tahiti’s capital, Papeete, via Los Angeles.
Following a review of the current services and economic conditions, the decision was taken to streamline the flights concentrating on the most popular route to Tahiti & Her Islands. Connections with a single e-ticket from London Heathrow and Manchester Airports to and from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport are now available via an agreement with Air France.Air Tahiti Nui carries approximately 500,000 passengers per annum. Air Tahiti Nui operates one of the youngest fleets of Airbus A340-300 aircraft in the world. These new generation aircraft feature the quietest cabin in the sky while offering state-of-the-art technology and innovation. Uniquely suited for long-haul flights, the 294-passenger cabin offers added spaciousness and comfort in all classes. In addition, the eight-abreast seating layout with the popular 2-4-2 arrangement meets the seating requests of the airline’s couple and family-oriented passengers. Seat pitch is 47” in business class and 34" in economy. Seats in first class have no seats in front of them as they convert to flat beds and are configured across as 2-2-2. All passengers are provided with individual seat back screens that offer a full entertainment program including films and games.
