Air Seychelles focusses on regional flights drops London Paris Milan and Rome

Air Seychelles aircraftNational carrier, Air Seychelles has announced that it will stop flying to Europe from 10th January 2012. The airline has previously operated regular scheduled services to Paris, London, Rome and Milan. The long established airline will continue to fly international services to Johannesburg and Mauritius from its base on the spectacular holiday island of Mahe. Air Seychelles was launched on 15 September 1977 as the product of a merger between Air Mahé and Inter-Island Airways. It changed its name to Air Seychelles in September 1978.

In the future Air Seychelles plans to become a domestic and regional carrier by returning its long haul aircraft and acquiring a narrow-body Boeing 737-800 or an Airbus 320 which will fly to destinations in India, East Africa and the Indian Ocean.
