Air Philippines has announced plans to expand its aircraft fleet from three Airbus A320's to 18 by 2012.

This fleet expansion will allow the carrier to add more domestic and regional routes.
Air Philippines will launch a new service to Singapore, later this month, using a brand new A320 with 180 seats.
"We're looking at destinations like the Republic of Korea, Bangkok and maybe Hong Kong," chief Executive Cesar Chiong said. By the end of 2010 the airline will have six new A320s aircraft and another six will arrive in 2011. Alongside the Airbus fleet, Air Philippines also has eight turbo propeller planes used to fly on domestic routes.
Air Philippines is already the country's third largest airline, behind Gokongwei-led Cebu Pacific and Tan’s Philippine Airlines, at the end of the first half of the year after carrying 676,686 passengers
