As part it's ambitious growth strategy which is designed to turn national carrier, Air Namibia into “a full service carrier with a geographically focused network that services the traffic flows to and from and within Southern Africa,” the carrier has agreed to purchase two brand new Airbus A319 aircraft direct from the manufacturers. To boost efficiency and reduce operational costs, Air Namibia’s new business plan suggested new routes, better scheduling and new aircraft. ALready Air Namibia has started new direct flights from Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport to Lusaka, Zambia and Accra, Ghana.
