Air Europa is looking to take advantage of the vacuum left by one of its main long haul competitors between Madrid and Latin America.
Air Europa will use the vacuum left after the recent Air Comet bankruptcy and strengthen its presence on some of the routes which were operated by the now defunct Air Comet. One such route is between Madrid and Lima, the capital of Peru, here Air Europa plans to launch a new scheduled service from next February 22. For passengers affected by the closure of Air Comet, on December 21st, Air Europa ticket offered special discounts for all those affected where it had seats available.
