Air Europe has announced that it has been authorized to operate on the route Madrid-Lima-Madrid with a frequency of four times a week commencing 18th February 2010.
This flight replaces the service previously operated by the bankrupt Spanish Airline, Air Comet. The new flights are scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Air Europa flies twice daily from London Gatwick to Madrid.
Air Europa currently oerates a fleet of five Airbus A-330, two Boeing 767-300, 29 Boeing 737-800 and 4 Embraer 195 aircraft.
Iberia has already increased its frequency to 11 weekly flights between Lima-Madrid in response to Air Comets demise.
