Air Botswana, the national airline of Botswana, has announced plans to commence a new daily non-stop service between the South African city of Capetown and Maun, which is the gateway to the world famous Okavanga Delta region. The route will start on 1st June 2012 and will be operated by a BAe 146 aircraft, leaving Capetown at 0945 and arriving Maun at 1225. Southboud the aircraft will depart Maun at 1525 arriving Capetown at 1755. (all times local). Vikki Joyce, UK Head of Sales for Air Botswana , said " This is great news for passengers travelling to Botswana from the UK, we already have a popular daily service from Johannesburg to Maun, but this new operation will now make it possible to have an easy 2 centre holiday combining the wonders of the Okavango Delta with the beaches of Capetown."
