About Aerosur

Aerosur was a privately owned airline based in Bolivia, which served as the country's flag carrier since 1998. The airline served flights to over 15 destinations across South America, Miami and Madrid. Aerosur was headquartered in Santa Cruz da la Sierra at the Viru Viru International Airport.

Aerosur ceased all of its operations in March 2012.

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

AeroSur passengers were permitted to 1 carry-on baggage, weighing no more than 5kg on the Boeing 727-200 and Boeing 737-200/300/400 aircraft. When flying on the Boeing 767-200 and 747-300/400, passengers were allowed to bring carry-on baggage of no more than 10kg.

Checked Baggage

Aerosur passengers were allowed to bring one piece of checked baggage of no more than 20kg. When travelling within South America passengers were allowed to bring a piece of checked baggage of 25kg.

Under no circumstances was checked baggage allowed to weigh over 32kg due to health and international regulations.
