Aerolineas Argentinas new logo and rebrand

Aerolineas Argentinas has revised its logo and refreshed its brand. aerolinas argentinas
The National Carrier of Argentina has used leading brand consultants, FutureBrand to devise a new branding strategy, which features a redrawn version of the condor symbol, a new typeface and a different, lighter shade of blue.

"Aerolineas Argentinas proudly presents its new image, having now regained confidence, regularity and timeliness and also increasing the number of frequencies as well as improving its service," President Mariano Recalde said, adding that its new "identity system" will be implemented gradually. Re-nationalized in late 2008, the carrier is trying to shake off what Recalde has described as a reputation for poor service that took hold when Grupo Marsans owned the airline.A

Earlier this year Aerolineas Argentinas moved its international operation from Ezeiza, which has been Buenos Aires' main international airport since opening in the 1940s, to Aeroparque Jorge Newberry in the city centre. The new strategy focuses on building a stronger and larger regional operation. As part of the first phase, Aerolineas plans to grow domestic capacity in 2010 by 40% and regional international capacity by 90%. This will primarily be achieved through additional frequencies to key business destinations such as Asuncion, Santiago and Montevideo.
