Aeroflot Airlines of Russia has announced a dramatic increase in the frequency of its services between its base at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport to Kaliningrad.
The previously flown double daily service will now operate five times each day.
This increase in flights is a direct respnse to the recent failure of independently owned, Kaliningrad based airline KD avia. Kaliningrad is a strategically important exclave of Russia which is sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Coast.
