Aeroflot, Russia's National Carrier, has just announced a new direct service from London Gatwick to the historic city of St Petersburg.

Aeroflot's new service between the UK capital city and Russia's second city will start flying twice a week from 06th March 2011 with a n increase to fives times a week from the summer.
Departing from Gatwick's south terminal the new flight departs at 13:40 arriving at 20:05 local in St Petersburg. The retunr flight leaves St Petersburg at 12:20 arriving at Gatwick at 12:40 local time.
Moscow based Aeroflot is a member of the prestigious SkyTeam alliance and currently flies 19 times per week between London Heathrow and Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport.
