Germanwings flights

Germanwings is the no frills airline operating low cost, no frills flights to seventy main and regional towns and cities throughout Europe. As is the trend with no frills airlines Germanwings offers a low basic fare and everything else has to be paid for. An inflight food and beverage service is provided for you to make purchases on board or if you wish you can take your own food. The route network is extensive - from Reykjavik in the north (close to the Arctic Circle) to Saint Petersburg and Moscow in the East, to a whole array of popular holiday sun destinations throughout the Mediterranean and Portugal. From London Stansted there are flights to 33 destinations and from Edinburgh there are nine. To ensure that this comprehensive network actually works Germanwings has an impressive fleet of all airbus A319 aircraft, which between them carried over 8 million passengers in 2007. That is impressive. There is no free checked baggage allowance, everything in the hold is at an extra cost as is online seat selection which is possible up to 24 hours in advance. If your journey comprises of two flights make sure you leave plenty of transfer time as low cost airlines will not accept liability for the consequences of missed flights.
Germanwings has a fleet of 27 modern Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft and has placed orders for a further nine.

Germanwings Low Cost Flights

German wings has established itself as one of the leading no frills carriers in Europe. Founded in 2002 the airline has established a reputation for value for money, quality of service and reliability. Germanwings operates an all Airbus fleet has won the manufacturer Awarded for Operational Excellence for the last three consecutive years, and when we say that speaks volumes we mean it definitely turns the decibels up a notch or two! Europe is covered, mostly with flights originating in Germany, but the UK has flights to almost 50% of the entire network with flights operating out of London Stansted or Edinburgh airports. With low prices, quality service and a fantastic choice of destinations Germanwings popularity can only continue to grow and grow. Plans were announced in early 2008 to merge the airline into the mega TUI corporation, time will tell what, if any, effect this has on this super airline.
