Bulgaria Air is the National Carrier of Bulgaria, based in Sophia and in 2006 was acquired by local competitor, Hemus Air.

Bulgaria Air operates from three bases within Bulgaria. Most of its destinations are served from the capital city of Sophia. These include London Gatwick, Manchester, Zurich, Moscow, Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Rome, Milan, Tel Aviv, Dublin, Frankfurt, Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, Prague, Brussels and Vienna. The Black Sea resort cities of Bourgas and Varna are connected to London and Dublin plus Vienna and Amsterdam respectively.
