Afriqiyah Airways Flights To AfricaThis is a very competent airline and with political and financial backing has begun to fulfil its ambition of becoming one of the great airlines of Africa. Afriqiyah has grown spectacularly despite a lack of promotion and marketing spend and now has a fleet of nine Airbus aircraft witha orders for a further 23 to support the planned route expansion. Currently it operates seven services into Europe from its hub in Tripoli (London Gatwick, Geneva, Amsterdam, Rome, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Brussels and Dussledorf). Particularly useful are the connections over Tripoli domestically to Benghazi and to the West African destinations of Cotonou, Ouagadougou, Douala, Bangui, N’Djamena, Accra, Abidjan, Bamako, Niamey, Kano, Lagos, Khartoum, and Lome. New services are planned from Tripoli to Manchester and Marseille in Europe and to five destinations in Africa, Middle East and China.
