Whilst being proud of our UK base (Alternative Airlines' HQ sits at the end of London Gatwick's main runway ) we are rapidly developing into a global flight booking service satisfying the needs of customers throughout the world.
Over the weekend (yes we work Saturday and Sunday) we did a quick check and in the previous 30 days,we have had bookings from customers living in 44 countries across the world. From The biggest (China and the U.S. are in the top five) to the smallest (Belize and Fiji, for example) we have made flight bookings for customers looking for the best deals on their chosen routing and often seeking out a different choice of airline. Currently we have three currencies available for bookings (British Pounds, US Dollars and Euros) but we are looking to increase this later this year, as well as adding PayPal as a new payment option. Also the site is currently only available in the English language but we'd like to make it more available to non-english speaking markets and again this is something we are planning in the future.
It's also really important to keep close contact with our customers and with this in mind we are going to be more active on communicating with everyone who has used us or is looking to use us to book their flights, and in a way that makes sense not just generalised - "delete it rather than read-it" e-mail shots.
This month, we have got off to a flying start with more bookings coming in than ever before and this growth is very welcome, but challenging for us to keep our service standards as high as ever.
