On 30th April 2005 Dutch Antilles Express (DAE) started operations as a unique Antillean airline. Since then DAE has gained a reputation as a friendly and reliable airline that offers service at a competitive price level.
The Airline was totally revamped in summer 2011 following its acquisition by the regional government of Curacao. With new investment, new energy and a new focus on growing into its ambition to serve many destinations throughout the region, DAE is set to become a major regional Caribbean airline.
DAE - Dutch Antilles Express
DAE is an expanding airline which operates mostly short hop flights from its base at Hato International Airport, Curacao.
The first four destinations served from Curacao under the new ownership are Aruba, Valencia, Curacao and Santo Domingo.
Soon, in early 2012, the airline is planning to add flights to Bogota, Bonaire, Barbados, Port of Spain and Miami. The business plan also adds Manaus, Barquisimento, Martinique, Dominica, Guadaloupe, Port au Prince and Havana to the network by the end of the year.
DAE - The fleet
Currently operating 1 MD80 and 2 Fokker 100 jets plus awaiting delivery this month of Turboprop ATR-42 aircraft, DAE is expanding its fleet to match the range of destinations due to be flown as 2012 progresses.
